Mrs. Holm
Mrs. holm was born and raised in Vancouver B.C. and moved to Vancouver Island after she graduated from UBC with her Bachelor of Education in 1994. Her first teaching job took her to the West Coast of Vancouver Island where she taught music in Ucluelet and Tofino for 4 years. Shortly after she began her teaching career she ventured over to the University of Calgary to complete three summers of Kodaly methodology in their music education department graduating with a diploma in Fine Arts specializing in music education. After a few years of teaching music she ventured into the classroom full-time and taught grades 4-7 on the west coast.
After 7 years on the West Coast of the island it was time to move to a larger community and she moved to Courtenay where she started teaching music. She is now in her 14th year of teaching in the Valley where she has also had the opportunity to teach in the classroom. Some of the things she likes to do in her free time include spending time with her family, cross-country skiing, running, boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking and biking.
